Private trip if ship is sold out to DRF

what port are you stopping at?

DRF is minutes from the pier in Ocho and you can simply take a taxi - IMO you are better off doing this, as admission to DRF is for all day to the national park while a ship excursion has you do one poorly done climb of the falls and loads you back on the bus. Go on your own and stay as long as you like to climb and climb some more, enjoy the beach and the gardens and food and drink ..... When I take folks to DRF we stay for several hours, climb at least 3 times (and do NOT hold hands in a group)

enhance

{see the line of folks on the left .... ship tour .. holding hands and following a guide for one 'easy' climb. When they reach the top they are hearded onto the bus and back to the ship, day is done. We're going UP THE MIDDLE .... and have already been up once already and started over!!}

On The Other Hand, I'd probably SKIP DRF if I was visiting another port in JA ... not worth an hour on a bus either way IMO.
