cruz_happy Posted June 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2018 Can anyone share information on the "Kilauea Volcano Lava field Expedition" sponsored by NCL? So far, we have not received notice this excursion is cancelled, now that POA is going to Hilo (at least so far). We travel in July. My question, if you've done this excursion, is how rigorous is this excursion? Is it extremely strenuous & more designed for those who are hikers or very physically fit? Would appreciate any input on this---IF they don't cancel this excursion! (We won't be surprised if they do.) Thank you in advance.

GJustice Posted July 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Most likely it will be cancelled and/or a replacement tour will be offered. We had booked the VNP tour last week, and when we got on board learned that it had been replaced with a waterfalls tour. We had the option to cancel and get our money back but went ahead and took it. We got as far as the main gate of VNP before we turned to go around the other side of it to see sights.
