Norwegian fjords- should I buy binoculars?

Hi. I've booked our first ever cruise for the Norwegian Fjords on Marella Discovery next July. I'm considering buying husband binoculars for a gift this Christmas; thinking they would be great for our cruise. However, with the scenery being so large scale do we really need them? What do others think - are they worth buying/ taking?

I always take binoculars regardless of where we cruise. There is always something to look at whether it be wildlife, other ships or landscapes. Personal choice really.
