What is a "lot" of people in port at Santorini and Mykonos?

We are on Celebrity Constellation's Greek Isles Cruise next June. I took a look today at the other ships that will be in port with us, and the total number of people. I don't really have a frame of reference, so I'm not really sure if these numbers mean the port will be "crowded" or not.

At both Santorini and Mykonos, the same 3 ships will be there - us, Jewel of the Seas and MSC Sinonia - for 6538 total passengers.

Any thoughts on whether this is average, below average or above average crowds?

Thanks!

Just a thought. If all those passengers were in Fira (Santorini) and decided to head down (on the cable car) in mid-afternoon it would take more than 10 hours! And therein lies the biggest congestion problem on the island. The cable car only can handle about 600 per hour (in each direction) which is not a good thing when the island has thousands or cruise ship passengers all needing to catch a late afternoon tender.
