ORIENR BEACH questions??

Hi everyone! This is for those whom have recently visited Orient beach since Hurricane Irma. We are taking the Allure of the Seas and St. Maarten is one of the ports we will be docking. Can we take a taxi right from the port to Orient Beach? How much would a round trip be for 4 people? Are there umbrellas and chairs to rent? Are there jet skis, etc to rent while we are there ? We will be going this upcoming June.

Returned yesterday from our cruise which stopped at St. Maarten. We did an island tour which had a stop at Orient Beach. There were chairs and umbrellas for rent not sure about the jet skis. Most of the bungalows that were on the beach were destroyed by Irma and have not been restored yet. I would suggest some type of "pool shoes" as there was plenty of broken glass in the areas where we walked.

I would not go to Orient unless you wish to see the devastation. It is not ready for a normal beach day
