Information about Touring Meteora

We are cruising to Greece this summer and disembark in Athens. We've planned 4 days in Greece after the cruise, a couple of which we will spend touring Athens. We would love to see Meteora and so I am looking for information on the best way to get there and back to Athens, as well as touring the monasteries.

There are tour companies that do the train trip to meteora or an overnight. Also George’s taxis is often recommended. Or you could rent a car and drive there and explore a little further. We are going there in May so could tell you more then.
