Mayan Ruins

We haven’t been to the other two sites mentioned above, but we have been to Chacchoben and a few other Mayan sites. It is an easy drive from Costa Maya, we did a ships tour, not NCL, the tour was excellent, the site accessible and interesting though not large. The jungle is very near and there were a lot of howler monkeys in the trees nearby. You can climb the pyramid, I didn’t due to mobility issues but DH did. There are small shops and clean loos at the site. We thought it a good easy excursion. With a good guide it would be an easy intro to Mayan culture.
