unicorn63 Posted July 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2013 Don't do it. When we went to Bermuda 5 people(including one in our group) that we heard of had accidents. Worst injury being multiple broken bones. It is very very dangerous.
vicnkojo Posted July 16, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 16, 2013 I was going to rent a scooter also but upon reading on all the accidents with tourists .try reading up on the number of accidents with scooters and cruisers, and also they drive on the other side of street from us if you are in Bermuda, something else to tackle. Be careful:o
GateGuardian Posted July 16, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 16, 2013 The roads in Bermuda are VERY narrow and bendy and people there drive fast!
mpk218 Posted July 16, 2013 #7 Share Posted July 16, 2013 Odds are good you will at least scrape a toe . Scooters in muda are an E ticket and then some . I know 4 individuals from 4 different groups that can claim the muda shark attack story.. (( what the heck happened to you ? Bermuda shark attack )) happens every call .. Good luck ;)
tbyrd79 Posted July 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted July 19, 2013 I have rented from Elbow Beach Cycles twice in the last two years. Year one, they picked us up and brought us to their shop. Year two they delivered my scooter right to the ship. When I left, I simply parked next to the ship and they picked it up as I watched from my balcony. I highly recommend them. That sounds great! What ship or dock were you at? How was the safety factor for you? I'm still debating from everything I've heard.
