For the person who wanted to know about the Premier Inn Central in Dover .....

Just back from my cruise out of Dover. We spent one night at the Premier Inn that is near the ferry dock (there's another one in the city of Dover too), and were quite satisfied with it. It's pretty basic, and nothing fancy, but the bed was comfy, the room and bathroom spotlessly clean, the bathroom modern and well lit, the linens and towels clean and in good condition, and the staff pleasant and helpful and it was a quiet facility. There is a pub/restaurant off the lobby. The food was good and nicely presented. We did not choose to purchase the meal plan they offer, as we are both light eaters and were not interested in full meals.

Our room overlooked the waterfront, and we were very lucky to arrive on a day with beautiful weather. The afternoon of our arrival we walked along the waterfront and part way into the town. There's a lot of history associated with Dover, and had we known in advance how much there was, we would likely have planned for an extra day staying there so we could have seen more of it. I would have loved to visit the castle, but didn't make it there. Others who did said it was worth seeing.

If we would ever cruise out of the port of Dover again, we would not hesitate to stay there.
