Cruiselkm Posted August 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2018 Have just watched an episode of Mega Cruise Ships and got me thinking if any of the episodes had a P&O ship featured. Does anyone know? Cheers

Does anyone know? Cheers They're not nearly big enough to be considered "Mega Cruise Ships". Although, for a while, when she was first launched, the Sun Princess was the biggest cruise ship in the world.

SinbadThePorter Posted August 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Wikipedia has a list of cruise ships over 120,000 gross tonnes, which is probably a pretty fair definition of a mega cruise ship. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_cruise_ships Of those, the only ones that regularly frequent Australian waters are the Quantum of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas and the Celebrity Solstice. When the Golden Princess goes to P&O Oz in 2020 it will be their largest ever ship at 109,000 gross tonnes. By the way, the gross tonnes measurement is actually a measure of volume, not weight.
