Nieuw Amsterdam Private Cabana

Hi,

I'm thinking about renting a private cabana for the entire cruise in November. Anyone have thought on the location. The ones facing the lido pool have both side open, I understand you get a better breeze on hot days. What about the ones facing the side? Better sea view but do they get nice wind circulation also?

I'm pretty sure that you are talking about the the Retreat Cabanas. (Possibly called Cabana Club on the NA.) We prefer the open ones overlooking the pool, but the air circulation can be a bit much on a windy day. To be honest, you get a decent view from any of the cabanas. On a calm day or a port day, the side-facing cabanas can be a little warmer. On a windy day, the aft-facing cabanas will be rather wind blown.

We've always preferred the cabanas overlooking the pool as well, but just as POA1 said above, on windy days it can be too much.

We love the cabanas and have rented one every time it has been an option. The below of my wife and I was taken the first time we rented one on the Eurodam in 2009. My how time flies by!
