zaccruiser Posted November 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Using a gimbal system can result in an amazingly smooth video but when paired with a phone with image stabilization that CANT be turned off, I find they fight each other, resulting in a wobble that looks like some drunk cruiser heading back to their cabin at 1 am. what is the best combo you have used without breaking the bank? framer Posted November 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2017 There is no way to turn off the IS/VR on the phone? WOW! That's not cool... framer
Rare pierces Posted November 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2017 There isn't any setting in the main system configuration but a moment's search in my camera app found an on/off switch for Stabilization. Most advanced settings require a menu dive since the apps are targeted for mass-market appeal and the assumption is the typical user will literally "point and shoot". I have a Pixel XL which is about as Android as you can get. iPhones are designed to give you freedom from choice which, in most cases, makes them easy to use. Unless you need to turn of stabilization, apparently. :( Dave
