So we have a little mini cruise getaway coming up for late Feb on Sensation. We choose to have our cabins guranteed and picked by the CL. They have already picked them and have us and a friend 2 floors apart. I think I am going to go ahead and pay some extra $ and pick the locations. Where is the ideal room locations on this ship? Right now they have us in a aft side balcony (not aft facing).

Mid-ship for less rockin' motion.

We had cabin E91 on Deck 7 and loved it! My wife usually gets motion sickness (she was feeling a little out of sorts when we were are the front of the ship. She felt fine with the mid-ship cabin.

We stayed on the Empress deck. We are used to staying on the Lido but they do not have those rooms so chose the Empress. Nice location, close to lobby bar and it's interesting to go up to the casino instead of down.

It depends what you like and want to be near. Your current location would have been ideal for my 74 year old dad on our recent cruise - the aft elevators go all the way up to Deck 10 (midship elevators only go to 9).

His favorite place to visit was swirls (24 hour soft serve) which is in the Seaview Buffet, right off the aft elevators, which he also enjoyed quite a bit. The sandwich counter and pizza counter are there as well.

Several other areas are easily accessed from the aft elevators - Plaza lounge, adults serenity deck, Michelangelo and Kaleidescope lounges, Sensation Boulevard, Ecstasy Dining room, and the Alchemy bar.

Take a look a the deck plans and choose based on what you think you want to be close to. . . or take the assigned cabin and wing it! You could easily pay the $$ to choose your room and end up in a worse, or at least no better, location. It's not a mega ship so if you are okay with walking you are not terribly far from anything regardless of your room location.
