Krka National jPark as optional tour?

We will be on the Viking Star in Zadar in May and are considering an optional tour ($139) to Krka National Park (mostly to view the waterfalls there). Would love to hear from travelers who've been there and opinions about whether the trip is worth this price. Thank you!!

But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so check out reviews on TripAdvisor because most folk rate it quite highly.

And those who rated it poor mainly complained about it being too crowded - which fortunately it wasn't when we were there.

Ignore references to the second boat trip, lake, monastery etc, because that is only for very early starters & won't fit in a cruiser's timescale.

"Mostly to view the waterfalls there"" - the part of Krka Nat Park that you'll be visiting is just that one set of falls, for anything else you need a very full day.

Does your ship offer an excursion to Split?

It's about 90 minutes away compared to 60 mins to Krka, but a full day of sights in the compact old-town.

Or mebbe your ship calls there as well.

Sorry, I don't know Zadar itself, we by-passed it - our road-trip was, as usual, too many miles & not enough hours.:rolleyes:
