Gem-1st day lunch options

Hi all-

Curious, when you get on the ship at embarkation, does they staff let you easily go to the Grand Pacific for lunch? I seem to remember they try to steer you to the buffet and not towards the GP, but we really want a sit down lunch that first day.

Main dining room opens at noon. They will try to send you to the buffet instead of the dining room (dont know why tho). We have even had crew tell us the dining room isn't opened, when it was. Enjoy

Even though staff is announcing that lunch is ready at the buffet, you can easily go to dining room. Such a great relaxing way to start the cruise!
