Checking bags at airport

We will arrive back at the airport around noon with a 8pm departure. Would Delta take our luggage that early so we can go into Anchorage? Has anyone tried the bag storage lockers for rent? Big enough for large bags?

You’re too early to check luggage. There are two storage areas at the Anchorage Airport. Down by baggage carousel 4 and upstairs next to TSA screening. Not lockers but you give your luggage to a representative with the storage company. Size doesn’t matter, if the airline will take it so will the storage company.
