LOSTmemories Posted December 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2005 I was on the Royal Caribbean Western Caribbean cruise from Nov. 27, 2005 to Dec. 4, 2005. On Dec. 2 I left my camera in the casino and someone picked up (but didn't turn it into lost and found). :( If you found my camera, please return the memory card (I don't care about the camera--no questions asked). I have very fond memories captured from this vacation on that memory card. I'm crushed to not have it. Please mail it to me at the following: Stephanie Stricker 1223 W. Lawrence #3 Chicago, IL 60640 Many Thanks!

HarleyGirl Posted February 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2006 Your post actually brought tears to my eyes! I feel so bad for you and hope you get your card back. Please update us if you get it!
kaseyoz Posted February 12, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2006 sorry you lost your photos. maybe you could ask for anyone else who was on this cruise to share their photos with you, cruisers are kind people. Even generic photos will help fill the gap for you although i know it wont replace your own photos.. Did you do your own video, maybe you can have some still shots taken from that as a last measure. Nliedel Posted February 12, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2006 I think the above idea is a gem! Post that you are looking for photos of that cruise, it's a better shot than asking for your camera. I am so sorry about your loss but the memories are not gone. Write it down, write it down! A little at a time. Get it on paper, into a computer and out of your head starting today. Words can make it as real as photos and you don't have to be a writer to do it. Enchantment 04 Posted February 12, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 12, 2006 I share your pain. The day I got home from my Jewel cruise with my Grandparents, my Mom took me out to Dinner. I told her so much about the cruise and told her that as soon as we get home, I will show her the hundreds of pictures that I took. Well sure enough when I got home I saw a little blue thing all chewed up on the carpet-it was my memory card. My basset hound CHEWED it. I was so mad/sad. And it really stinks because I had pictures of all my new friends that I made, pictures of me and my grandparents, pictures of the room and ship, pictures of the islands and shore excursions, etc. I seriously cried (and I wont admit that too often) for like 3 hours. The only thing that held me back from not killing my dog was my Mom.
torpeedo Posted July 16, 2006 #8 Share Posted July 16, 2006 Stephanie, you still have the memories in your heart and when you get older you will see them in your minds eye. What you might do is a DO OVER TRIP!!! Recapture some of the great times you had and maybe gather up the people you went with and recreate the experience.. GreytRacer Posted March 24, 2007 #10 Share Posted March 24, 2007 know how you feel. not a cruise, but we had a photo shop lose our pictures of christmas 1977 when our daugher was five. oh,they did give us a free roll of film. When my niece turned five, my parents took our entire family to Walt Disney World. KMart lost all their photos! Multiple rolls and they lost them all! They also offered us frees rolls of film. My dad asked if they planned to pay for a return trip. They just looked at him. And yes, that was the last "everyone" family vacation we were able to take together. ladyjbd3155 Posted March 27, 2007 #11 Share Posted March 27, 2007 On my last family vacation with my parents, we went to Vegas, and someone stole my camera. It wasn't digital, just a 35 mm. I bought a throw away after and was able to take some ok shots, but nothing will ever replace those pictures we lost. The roll we lost had the only photos of all 3 of us together (I didn't realize until we had already gotten home).
Honeybear Posted May 25, 2007 #12 Share Posted May 25, 2007 On our last cruise I took along my new camera, do NOT ever do that. I had not figured out everything about the camera, "I" deleted every pic on the disk! The really bad thing about this was I only had one person to blame, Me! I couldn't even blame a thief, just a dummy. I did contact a few new friends from the ship and they were gracious enough to send me copies of theirs pics which helped a lot. And I did buy almost all of the ship pics.
marmi Posted July 29, 2007 #13 Share Posted July 29, 2007 Hi! Stephanie Have you tried to go on the roll call of your cruise, you could ask there for pictures from people who were there at the same time as you. and who knows, you might be in their photos too
