Crown and Anchor points

Is it possible to obtain extra C&A points? My wife and I will be one point short of emerald status after our Transatlantic cruise with RC on October 28 and I was wondering if there was a way.

No. You cannot purchase or obtain extra C&A points. You can only earn them by cruising or adding a land package to a cruise.

Most people fall short of the next tier by some amount of points after completing their last cruise and the only way to reach the next tier is by cruising again.

And as the C&A points are tallied after each cruise is completed, the next obtained tier level will not be recognized until the cruise following the cruise on which the tier level was reached. The only tier level that is recognized on a cruise as it is obtained is Pinnacle.

So on your next cruise you will obtain the one point necessary to reach Emerald, but will not recognized as such or get those benefits until the next cruise that you take after that. Sorry.

To add to the excellent response above, there really isn't much more to being Emerald than being Platinum, in my opinion (and with no offense intended). I feel the real benefits start at Diamond and above. Here is a link to a list for your comparison:
