Will be in Belize on Aug. 2 via RCI Liberty of the Seas. Does anyone know if the ship is docked or tendered? If tendered, how long is the tender ride? Any other feedback on the tender process for this port is much appreciated. We have an 8:30am shore excursion.

Thanks.

Belize is a tender port for Royal Caribbean.

Sorry can't help on the process this will be my first time there as well.

As for tender process and time. Each ship/cruise line has it's own policies for tendering. Typically passengers with some version of a frequent cruiser status get priority in tendering as do those going on ship sponsored excursions. The ship's daily newsletter should inform you as to when and where to meet.

It takes 15-20 minutes typically for the tender to reach the tender pier. Depends upon how far out the ship has to anchor. Depth of ship's keel and number of ships in port are deciding factors.

Belize City is a tender port for all cruise lines. There is no dock, the water is very shallow so all ships have to anchor outside of harbor. Its about 20 minute tender to shore/port area.

Harvest Caye is a port built in a different area of Belize, only NCL uses it as they built it. It has a dock.
