Rare Essiesmom Posted August 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2009 Welcome to Cruise Critic. there are a lot of resources here, and you need to explore each one. for instance, there is a section called North american Home Ports. Under that are East Coast Departures, and further under that florida Departures. Here you will find lots of information about Port canaveral, particularly on a thread calle I work at Port Canaveral. okgirl Posted August 10, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2009 What is the best transportation from Orlando airport to Port Canaveral? I've sailed out of PC several times and we've always rented a car. It's just my sister and I and we always fly in a day early. The mid-size car runs $65 or so and we stay at the Best Western for around $75 for the night. The car rental place shuttles us to and from the pier. It's about a 45 minute drive from MCO to PC
Leafpeeper Posted August 10, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2009 We rented a car from Thrify at the airport for less than $30. We spent a night at Cocoa Beach and then dropped the car off and got a free shuttle to the ship.
collegecruiser346 Posted August 10, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2009 I'd say either rent a car, or if you don't feel like driving yourself, get a shuttle. Don't take a taxi though. It's about $100.
Mrs.C05 Posted August 12, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2009 If you can find a good deal or coupon the Entertainment book, I'd definitely get a rental car. Taxi's are expensive here!
