MEcruzr Posted December 12, 2017 #26 Share Posted December 12, 2017 While considering a Royal cruise an agent told me I could book a cruise with the refundable pricing... and then, when I'm ready to commit switch my booking to nonfundable and get the price adjustment. He made sure to point out to me that I could NOT, at any point, change a nonrefundable booking to refundable. I don't know if Celebrity does this, but it's worth asking. I haven't booked anything new since the policy went into effect.

I haven't booked anything new since the policy went into effect. that is very true on Royal. I have probably 6 bookings before the non-refundable came out. I changed them all from refundable to non-refundable to get the lower price. I have cruises on Royal booked all the way through Feb 2019 and all with non-refundable deposits. We never change our plans so it is fine to have non-refundable. And if an emergency would happen, that is why we have Trip Insurance.
karena1 Posted December 12, 2017 #28 Share Posted December 12, 2017 I don't think Non Refundable deposits kick in until May 2019 That explains it then, thanks!
