cyberrat67 Posted November 17, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2004 Has anyone ever brought night vision goggles or binoculars on a cruise? I'm considering picking up a pair, and wondered if I'm the only strange one that would want to see the ocean better at night...anyone know of any decent night vision binoculars that aren't out of this world price-wise? Blizzard54 Posted November 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I can not imagine an empty ocean would look much different at night.
Edmngld Posted November 22, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2004 Try a local Army Navy Store, it's a shot in the dark. hahaha
Steamboatin Posted February 5, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2005 Beware that they very well may be illegal in certain countries that you may be flying into or out of. It will be hard to explain and justify from jail why you are carrying them, unless your name is James Bond of course.
charger440 Posted August 14, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 14, 2005 We took both regukar day time goggles and our night vision goggles, on our last cruise. It was a blast! :D Unfortunately, you really need a clear night with a full moon to see really well out at see. However, it was fun to people watch. We would stand at the front of the ship and watch the crew members changing shifts. We were lucky enough and a ship was close enough to see it as we passed. Oil platforms were also interesting. Make sure you carry extra batteries. Hope this helps!
