cnorris Posted September 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2009 My mother loved the dinner plates on our last Carnival cruise on the Fantasy. Does anyone know where she can buy a set? She prefers the blue plates over the pink. Thanks.
ChefSusan Posted September 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2009 Contact Carnival directly. They should be able to help you out with that request.

MikeM Posted September 4, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2009 Dinner Plates on the last few ships we were on were marked: Euro by Vertex They are commercial and in doing some net research you will be asked the rim to rim dimension in inches. It turns out there are several hundred variations on the Euro style. If someone knows where to purchase them, please let us know. e-mail Mike at : chermikemiller@cox.net They used to sell them in the formal shop with bathrobes etc. on board but were not available last trip. Check out the following site as all I could find out so far. http://www.replacements.com/webquote/VETEUR.htm
CorvetteLady Posted September 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2009 Last December on the Splendor a woman at our table wanted one of the charger plates. She spoke to the maitre d' and the last night of the cruise he brought her one, I believe they charged her for it but don't know how much.

cnorris Posted September 4, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted September 4, 2009 Here is the information I have found. I sent Vertex China an email inquiring into the charger plates. I included the image from www.Replacements.com that shows the chargers in black (thanks MikeM for the link). Their response was... "We sell those directly to Carnival cruise, we can not sell direct, you will need to purchase those from them." I called Carnival and talked to a rep. Her response was that you can not purchase them like you can the bedding. You will need to purchase them on the ship, if they have some available to purchase. Next route was to get with Replacements.com. They do not have them in blue like Mom wants. I can either keep checking back to see if they get the blue or purchase the black. I will get with Mom and see what she would like to do. We do have a cruise booked for next June so maybe we can get some then. I think we will pay for them though, thanks anyway jimbo5544. I can't run that fast!! Thanks to all of you for your help. cn
MikeM Posted September 4, 2009 #10 Share Posted September 4, 2009 If memory serves, they were $25 each in the Formal Ware shop. Was a few years ago.
