Help - Recomendation For A Good Hotel In LA And Miami

We will be having a one night stopover in LA on our way to Rio and a one night stay in Miami on the return trip in January next year.

Could anybody recommend a good hotel, not too expensive that you would recommend in either city. We would prefer a hotel close to the airport rather than one that is miles away.

Hi Jennie,

A nice place is the Westin on Century Blvd. A shuttle will take you from the terminal about 5 min away to the hotel. Then call me and we'll have a great dinner in Century City or Beverly Hills!!!

The Miami Airport is not somewhere you really want to stay.

The Doubletree Surfcomber in South Beach is a very lovely resort. I love the hotel.

Thanks for your advice. We are using F.F. points and we now find that we will be arriving in Miami at 5.30am and leaving that night at 11pm so we are looking at staying at one of the Airport Hotels like the Mariott, the Sofitel or the Hilton just for the day so that we can have a sleep, freshen up and relax.
