I found this website to be helpful:*http://www.cartagenapuertodeculturas.com *They may be able to mail you info, as well.

Cartagena is one of the easier ports because the dock is in town. We love archaeology, and we found a lot to do. You can buy a multi-site voucher for the various attractions at your first site. We walked all over, even more than we intended to! We loved this port.

Here's a direct link for a helpful map & site guide: http://www.cartagenaturismo.es/files/61-21-DOC_FICHERO2/Planoingles.pdf

There's more info here, as well: http://www.cartagenaturismo.es

I think you're wise to plan your route in advance. Be sure to double-check entry-closing times & siestas. Even though the city was very easily walkable, we ended up walking more than we had originally planned and were tired - in a good way - by day's end (partly because I had prioritized our list and we had extra time to visit more places). Since it was our 2nd port of call, we were still a bit jet-lagged, though. There is a HoHo bus, but we never used it (it's a part of the multi-site voucher). If I had it to do over, I wouldn't have back-tracked our route and would've planned it more according to the map to save a few steps.

There is so much to do here that it can't all be done in a day! If we had so desired, it would've even just been a nice place to stroll the streets, shop and relax. I would love to go back. Enjoy!

Thankyou very much, the map is fantastic

The map will help us plan to avoid the back tracking!
