Any good reasonable restaurants near Galveston Ramada LTD

Any good reasonable restaurants near Galveston Ramada LTD? Could use a recommendation or two. Thank you:)

I assume you have a car, and if so, and you want some local flavor then head to Benno's at 12th and Seawall Blvd. They do a good job on shrimp, crawfish and grilled stuff. Beer's cold, the view from the outside stools is neat and it hasn't changed in the 16 years we've been going there for lunch.

If that dosen't suit your fancy then head over to the Saltwater Grill on Postoffice St. It is more upscale, and has excellent grilled redfish.

Gaido's is a excellent standby, and a Galveston tradition.

I second Benno's.. great seafood/inexpensive.

No car :( but, looks to be within a mile. Do you know if Benno's is open for lunch also? Is there any good place right within a few block of Ramada LTD? Thanks

Just returned from Galveston on Nov 20th. Gaido's is a litle pricey & food not as good as it used to be.

Good club at Holiday Inn on the Beach. B Jiggers! Live music & Happy Hour.

You can walk right across the street from the Ramada, the Ocean Grille, they also had great redfish -- our bill came to around $50 for the both of us, including a cocktail each. If you're looking for something really really cheap for the young kiddies, there's a Wendy's right next door.

Whats the area like around the Ramada LTD, are there lots of restaurants and things to do? We are staying there this Saturday. We will need a place for lunch, dinner and breakfast next morning before we cruise. Finallllllllllllllllly WOO HOO

We had our car so we were able to drive around, but the area is safe, lots of restaurants along the strip and not far to drive to the strand, also the trolley stops right in front of the ramada

We are leaving Saturdayand have nothing planned for Galveston or any of the ports kind of mad at self for not making the time to do it. Sure had it. This board has been great we printed out a bunch of things to read.
