Stupid Question...Which Airport? (Galveston)

If cruising from Galveston, which airport do you fly into? How far is it,etc? Thanks.

We usually fly to Houston (IAH) which is 60 mile to port. Shuttle from airport to Galveston is around $30 per person including luggage. Taxi fare is around $110.

Houston Hobby airport is closer to Galveston, but it mostly depends on what airline you are using...

I think Southwest ONLY flies into Hobby these days....

Hobby (HOU) is closer than IAH but will have less options. Hobby is about 45 minutes to an hour away, IAH is about 1-1/2 to 2 hours away. Southwest flies into Houston as do many of the major airlines, but more flights are offered into IAH by the major airlines.
