Do walkie-talkies work on a cruise ship?

ours worked great on the Conquest, the Inspiration and the Elation. get a set with sub-channels, as they regular channels tend to get crowded at times in ports. we love ours, and use them all the time, even when we go to walmart or the mall.

we hava motorola 5-mile range and they worked fine on voyage and at many of the ports. I should add they worked great when the kids turned them on.

We also have the motorola and a cheaper set in case we need more. The one thing is to take extra batteries. We tended to run them dry.

I used the 5-mile ones and they seem to work everytime.

If you are in port and can I would say use cellphones. I did this in hawaii and it was the best since the range is better.
