Duct Tape

Having never been on a cruise before, I wondered the same thing. But have been able to figure out the following from posts on this board..

  • to close suitcases that "break" in transit
  • to hold the drawers and doors closed in the cabin in rougher seas
  • to pack souveniers (bring that bubble wrap other people recommend as well)
  • to tape "the girls" together on formal night while wearing that strapless formal gown you brought (can't imagine removing it though...)

:) There are probably some REAL reasons to bring it as well...but these are a few I have figured out so far..perhaps someone will tell us the truth!

They are great for taping your over the door shoe holder to the back of the bathroom door since you can only hang it in the middle and the sides flop over. The duct tape works great.

Its great to wrap around the lids of your liquor you are smuggling onboard.

Can be used temporaily over blisters.

I used Duct Tape to tape the pictures (prints) to the wall. They were rattling and keeping me awake. Taped the glass to the wall with a nice long strip of good ol duct tape. Didn't leave a mark either... ;)

No need to take the whole roll with you tho. Just use your highlighter or a pencil and tape a big wad around that.
