Liberty 04/11 - Videos

Hi, I finally got my video done and uploaded to the InterWebs...

I would like to have uploaded these in HD (all were shot in HD) but breaking down the files to a size YouTube will accept them in takes more time than I have. Please do watch them with the 'HQ' option though for best picture and sound.

Also, audio is missing on a couple of files courtesy of YouTube... grrr. I may redo those files later.

The videos are by day. Some are very short - others are almost 12 mins (one day is broken in to two).

Thanks so very much! I enjoyed watching your videos - GEE, after seeing your cabin,

DH got on the phone with our PVP; but all were booked up. We will be on the Liberty in June and are so looking forward to our vacation.

Nezmo, I see that you like really nice rooms. Really off-topic but was wondering if you have booked the owners penthouse suite for the Ecstasy cruise? Can I also ask what software you used for your video's and pictures to put them together?

I have enquired about the Owner's Suite, yes. Frankly the price they want is silly and they don't want to negotiate. Until they do I won't be taking it unfortunately.

I use Sony's Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9. I then use the separate app DVD Architect 4.5 (part of the same package) for making DVDs.

Thanks for the info. As I said before really nice work. We were upgraded on the Ecstasy pre-drydock and was wondering if you were going to be in there, I would have loved to see the pics.

Loved that room on the Liberty, were they negotiable for that? After seeing your pic's, we went on line to look at the room (we have been on the Liberty three times, but would return) and was surprised at the cost for the SS suite. I agree about the pricing.

No, they didn't but I thought the price was reasonable for that room. I also got lucky and it dropped considerably in price before final payment (something suites don't seem to do much). We loved that room - it is leagues above a 12.

It looks like it! Do those Windows face forward (it appears that they do)? I did have a chuckle though when I read about people trying the "secret door" into your cabin (thinking it was the secret door). I love the fact that they added it. Always wondered why the had not dabbled into this area after the Fantasy class Owners Penthouse Suites (at least that I know of). When we stayed in the OPS on the Ecstasy in really dated (alright gaudy). Have seen some pics of the the "redone" one on the Sensation and loved what they have done with that. I take it you picked the Ecstasy because it was local or the intin.?

Ah, I get it now. Can see the windows and the balcony. More than any other feature, those window views on days at sea must be spectacular!!! When we were on the Ecstasy it was kind of a last minute cruise (not really but we usually book way in advance). I actually loved sailing out of Galveston (all of the oil rigs were quite a scene sailing through/around them). Just had not thought of it.

Me and my family have just recently booked "The Captians Suite" on the Carnival Liberty. We have been looking for a while for pictures or videos of the suite, and we found yours. But when we click the link for the videos it brings us to a sign on YouTube that says "This video is private". If you could maybe help us on finding someway to look at these videos it would be greatly appericated!

I believe that the link is broken because he has either removed the video's or restricted access to them. We are in 9200 on 4/16/11 and will take some and post here upon our return.

We're back on the Liberty 4/23 and I'm currently contemplating upgrading.

As you know, the upgrade would be well worth it and if you don't, you may regret it as you've been in that room before and know how fantastic it is! Quick question for you. We are relatively new to cruising and it seems you are quite the expert and will know the answer, but I've noticed that other cruisers have managed to get a price reduction on their cabin before final payment. How does that work?
