if you are driving to bayonne, what time are you planning to get to the port? i am comming from upstate ny and are just trying to figure out what time they will let us park and get on the ship? also does anyone know what channels they have on the tv?

hey mommao, we are planning on leaving allentown, PA around 8am fri morning to arrive in Bayonne by 10 or 11am. I know that boarding isn't until 1pm but we are going to get there early and then just roam around to pass the time until we can board. I have no idea about the tv channels as this will be our first cruise. See you in a week!

I plan to leave the Hudson Valley about 10am to arrive by 12 noon. I thought that should be good. I don't want to be too tried! LOL.

Now I'm not sure. What time does everyone thing they will let us start boarding?

Last month on the CCL Inspiration we arrived at 10-10:30am and we weren't allow to board till 1:30pm and that was a long wait. It was the Sunday we changed the time to DST so that might have had somethong to do with it.

HI,
WE are going on the June 4th sailing. We are also from upstate NY(Albany area). We are planning on leaving at 8am. I wasn't sure how long it would take to get to Bayonne. My TA said better to early, as the lines will be very long. We don't mind waiting in line as we are very patient, eventually you do get on the ship and start enjoying your vacation. We just like to get an early start just incase we get lost. We also want to take photos of the ship in the Bayonne port, if we are allowed too.

The cruise docs say 1:00 boarding. I went on the third or fourth cruise out of Baltimore a few years ago. By that time, they had some kinks to work out but there were stories of long embarkation lines on the first two. I am hoping to avoid that but I don't know if earlier or later is better. What percentage of people do you think will be driving?

We are driving down to Bayonne from Mid-Hudson valley(eastern Dutchess county).Planning on leaving about 9 AM,although my husband would like to leave earlier!Planning on it being about a 2 hour trip.

Where upstate are you from? We are in Rochester, Town of Greece. We leave tomorrow morning for Bayonne. I can give you an exact drive time, if you live close to where I am.

We plan on being at the pier by 11AM. Hopefully we will be able to board earlier than the 1PM on the cruise docs. If not, there is a dunkin donuts at the shopping center right next to the pier. I imagine they will be doing a booming business if we can't board til 1.LOL See everyone on Friday.
