Cruiser Cats Posted September 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2009 We just finished a wonderful cruise of the British Isles. I wanted to share an experience we had with a private tour that we did in Invergordon, Scotland. We planned the tour with Alastair Cunnigham of Clans and Castles alastair@clansandcastles.com . Alastair actually could not do the tour himself, but he arranged for Stephen Cribb to do the tour. We were not disappointed! Stephen ( sjcribb@compuserve.com ) was so knowledgeable (and also pleasant & flexible). He took us to Urquhart Castle/Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Cawdor Casle, Invergordon, and Beauly. We also had some additional drives through some residential/local areas and a couple of extra castle stops. It was an incredible tour. Not only because of Scotland's beauty and rich history, but also due to Stephen's tremendous knowledge about all things Scotland. I highly recommend him to future travelers. We're booked on this tour in August. I was wondering where you guys stopped for lunch?
patnlcc Posted January 21, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2010 Rachelsoup - there is no way you can do this tour from Edinburgh/Rosyth. It is way too far from the Inverness/Loch Ness/Urquhart Castle area. Sorry! I live here and it's impossible in a day if you are coming off a cruiseship.
