port of Miami question

Recommended Posts

We will be leaving from the port of Miami and wonder if they have any airport check in areas for the return. I think I remember AA having a desk, but I'm not sure. We'd like to check in a get rid of our bags there if possible so we can have some free time before heading for the airport. Does anyone know for sure?

Hi...yes, there is a AA check-out at the pier. To me, it's only worth it if you are NOT going directly to the airport. Meaning you will be dragging your luggage around. We were in line for almost an hour. I believe flights have to be after 1pm if you want to use the AA check-out at the pier.

We had a 1:30pm flight out of Miami. I think it would have been easier to get a cab and have the AA curbside check-in, take care of us. We already had electronic tickets so we wouldn't have had to check-in our bags inside the airport.

One of our group was on AA and tried the check in at the pier and the guy was rude and really didn't want to take the bags. They took a cab to the airport and did curbside and all was fine.

We used the AA terminal baggage check and thought it was super..! We had a 5:30 p.m. flight and had booked an excursion to the everglades, so we were one of the first off the ship. A baggage porter collected our bags and wheeled them to the Airlines check-in. We never touched the bags, except to pull them off the carosel in the terminal, until we reached our destination in St. Louis.
