Bunbury on your own - some advice please

Hi,

 

Could anyone tell me if Bunbury is easily accessible from the port please ?

 

I have had a look in the forums and can't find much info

 

I would like to visit the dolphin centre and if possible go dolphin watching and maybe have a look around the city as well. we prefer to do our own thing as we are not into being herded around.

Hi Pip, from what I can gather the ship docks not far from the town ctr and you can just walk into Bunbury, we are on same cruise and that is our plan, Dolphins etc are supposed to be seen from the town beach area sometimes which is(I think) to the left when you leave the port area.

When we were there last year on Dawn Princess they had a shuttle for $6 per person each way. :eek:

It dropped you off at the Visitors Center and from there we just wandered around a very lovely town.

We then saw a taxi and asked how much back to the ship.......

$6 , for all of us...

so we jumped in and asked if we could have a quick tour of the highlights of Bunbury on the way back to the ship,

we were quite happy to pay more.

Went up to the lookout and the lighthouse, then back to the ship.

It is not very far,and is easily walkable,but the short taxi tour gave us a bit of a look around.
