Super Bowl Sunday

That's right! I was the idiot that scheduled a cruise out of Miami on the Monday after the super bowl.:o I'm flying into FLL at 5:45 pm on SUNDAY. This will be my first time in the FLL/Miami area so I don't know the lay of the land. I have contracted with SAS for transport. Will travel from FLL to downtown Miami be overly effected at that time? What can I expect the travel time to be?

Okay the game starts at 6PM, I would expect the majority of the people to be in the stadium by 3PM-4PM. More good news, the main way to get to the stadium is the Turnpike, you will probably be traveling I-95. My GUESS is one hour to the port.

 

The I-95 Express lanes Southbound should be completed by January--- if big IF --it is in effect your driver will be able to use those two lanes. That should really help out should 95 become congested

Actually, the stadium is closer to FLL than it is to most of Miami even though it is located in Miami. If there is heavy traffic to the stadium, you'll be through it early on in the commute.

 

I would imagine the heaviest traffic will be heading South to North.

I don't think you will have any traffic on your route at that time.
