Nassau question

Like Ryan said, you can walk around the Atlantis hotel. There is a section of the aquarium that you can view for free, they have a casino, and up-scale shopping. Most anything else costs.

There are a number of other things to do in Nassau. Bay street has some decent shopping and is a short walk from the ship. The straw market is nearby too. Your ship will show all kinds of outings on their web page. See what you like, then ask here. Lots of times the same excursion can be had much cheaper by booking outside the cruisline.

The taxi drivers all give tours too. There are one or two drivers that come highly recommended here. But if you can't hook up with them, I would say don't take a taxi tour. We had a funny and charming taxi driver talk us into a tour. But once it started it was awful. I was so sorry we didn't pay a little more and take a ship tour.

Plenty to do in Nassau, give us a clue what you like to do. What ship are you going on?

We were there in Feb, going back w/the kids on the Majesty of the Seas as well! Over the New Years..

I would suggest a taxi rather than the water taxis. I was looking forward to doing the water, until I saw the boat! I'm pretty adventurous, but seeing the boat.. no. Even cheaper for the taxi if 2 or more people.

This is the boat before they added another 15-20 people...

Try to make it to Atlantis near sunset if you can, the Dig and the grounds are pretty much open to walk through at that time. (About 5 or so..)

If you're on Paradise Island, check out the "Cloisters".. old cloister building from France, reassembled here in a fantastic setting..
