First time cruiser Freedon of the seas...take ons?

Hi folks , we are booked on our first cruise in Feb for our silver wedding and have seen many mentions of "take ons" what are these? sorry to appear dumb but i am a little overawed with all the info just now :confused:...please help!

Hmmm - are you thinking of carry-on's? That could be it. You check your large bags at the pier and they are delivered to your stateroom that evening, but you also should have at least one carry-on bag with the things you absolutely need (medications, sleeping clothes, bathing suit), and things that are valuable (jewellery, electronics). The carry on bag(s) need to fit through the screening x-ray which is about the same size as one at the airport. The cabins aren't available until after 1 pm, so whatever you carry on you will need to keep with you until your cabin is available.
