May be a dumb question i have...

looking at the deck plan in the Gem... Anybody can tell me in in deck 9, there´s a space between cabin 9057 and 9063.What´s that inside that grey area?

No dumb questions here on CC. You'll see many grey areas like that on any ship's deck plan. Typically, they're spaces reserved for crew use - storage closets, utility closets, access to crew stairs, etc. Big grey spaces could be galley (kitchen) areas.

Best to avoid a cabin next to a grey area. We once had such a cabin on a Costa cruise, and the noise made during the night was unacceptable (and avoidable)....we complained every night, during the night too, and after 4 nights they finally moved us to a different cabin within the same category.
