gfranzen Posted December 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2009 We will be in St. Petersburg for 3 days on an upcoming cruise. Will Regent offer a given tour on all of the 3 days? We're trying to juxtaposition Regent and private tour itineraries.
tombo Posted December 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2009 Regent will undoubtedly have a selection of tours available each day you are there. Be aware that you will need to have obtained a pre-arranged visa if you're hoping to do any wandering around unaccompanied by an authorized tour operator. Dreps Posted December 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 16, 2009 For our 3 days in St. Petersburg during our August Regent cruise, we took one all-day excursion, and four half-day excursions. Friends even took additional excurisions in the evenings. The Regent Web site eventually had the times of the various excursions so you can plan out your activities. For the most part, the excursions were excellent, and I think only one of the excursions we took in St. Petersburg had a nominal charge.
Travelcat2 Posted December 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2009 Although I'm sure that the Regent tours will be quite good, I would definitely schedule a day for a private tour. Our private tour(s) in St. Petersburg were extraordinary.
