bonnie voyage Posted January 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2010 We are booked on the Pearl to Alaska in May. This our first time in a suite, category AE, which I understand includes butler and concierge service. Can anyone clue me in as to what to expect perk-wise? Thanks so much. rickechambers1@aol.com Posted January 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2010 As many NCL suite guests will tell you...once you experience a suite on NCL, you won't be able to go back to a regular room...it sounds like a line, but it's really true. Seriously. So just be aware that this will set the standard that you rate other cruises on. Ok..so I'm borrowing information attained from other CC members: As posted by Rich in NY previously: Embarkation Personal escort to stateroom Metallic color key card 1 Full bottle of Sparkling Wine (House) w/compliments of NCL card 1 Floral Arrangement Fruit Bowl* 1 Bottle of Spring Water *Replenished upon consumption Bath Amenities Cotton ball & Q-Tip Caddie Bath salts, presented in container, shell scoop Loofah , cello wrapped, no logo Elemis brand products presented on tray: Pure Shine Shampoo Pro-Vitamin Conditioner Sharp Shower Gel Vitamin Rich Body Lotion Pure Zest boxed Soap 80g Pure Zest boxed Soap 50g Shower Cap, paper envelope Other Butler and Concierge Service Access to Star Bar Day Lounge Daily Breakfast and Lunch in Cagney's Deluxe chocolate for bed turndown (prepared onboard) Date TBA Pillow menu selection (tent card on night stand) DVD and CD Player DVD & CD Library , with DVD movie library binder Deluxe Coffee/Espresso/Cappuccino Machine serving Lavazza coffee China cups/saucers, espresso cups, teaspoons Coffee/Tea pod dispenser accompanying Lavazza Coffee Machines Bathroom Scale Clock Bath Robes (Plush Terry Robe-Waffle Design) Slippers- Standard Feather Pillows, Queen/Euro Feather Duvet Insert Upgraded linen - 300TC with Embroidery Upgraded Towels including oversized bath towel Long stem barware, 2 each or 1 per person, space available. Full Breakfast Menu 24 Hour Room Service Menu (Suite Menu) Food turn down amenity delivered each night Priority restaurant reservations Priority disembarkation In Suite Dining As posted by Terry: Butler takes care of anything you'd like INSIDE your cabin; Concierge takes care of anything you'd like OUTSIDE your cabin. That's the most simplistic and real difference in explaining.

Hi Bonnie, The list above is great...here's a bit more... Concierge will make any reservations you need, and provide priority tender and disembark tickets and information. Butler, will deliver all your room service orders. The butler will set the table up, with a tablecloth silverware/condiments with each order. You are allowed to order anything from any of the restaurants on the ship, and will be charged if ordering an entree from one of the pay restaurants. Butler will deliver any of the music CD's or DVD's you wish to borrow, there will be a list in the cabin. There will be a VIP party, with free drinks, for suite guests. WinnieinWA Posted January 4, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2010 I especially love the VIP embarkation line...there will be NO waiting! You can also go to Cagney's for lunch upon embarkation if you get there before 2. I love having my coffee delivered in the morning and on sea days having breakfast from Cagney's delivered to enjoy on the balcony. Ask your concierge if he/she will be taking suite guests into the chocolate buffet before the crowds for pictures. The escorted suite escort to the tenders is great also. NCL has the best suite perks on the seas! :D You'll love it! Be prepared for a huge let down if you have to go back to a regular cabin.:(
