Stateroom Question

Recommended Posts

We're scheduled for our first cruise... on an interior/large stateroom on the main deck of the Eurodam. In looking over the deck plan, it looks like the other side of the back wall of our stateroom is the main hallway down the center of the ship... the one that many people would use each night from the main stage to the midship stairs/elevators.

Has anyone else experienced a similar stateroom? Is it going to sound like a stampede of elephants every night whenever a show is done?

Thanks for you advice!

That big white space down the center of deck 1 is not the main hallway, but crew-only work space. The two main passenger hallways run down between the outside and inside cabins on each side of the ship. :)

On the Main deck you will get very little foot traffic to/from the Mainstage. Nearly everyone will be using the doors on decks 2 & 3. In order to exit the Mainstage on deck 1 you have to go forward (down) the stairs toward the stage and off to the side, and you would be going against the mass of people going up the stairs. I suspect the only ones who would do that are those who have cabins on deck 1.

No need to repeat John's info, as he's always spot-on. I will add that those who do exit on Main Deck tend to use the forward elevators.

There will be some traffic when shore excursions are leaving the show lounge from mid-ship. This tends to impact port side, as tours leave the showroom from that side; if heading to the lounge from that side it can be difficult to get by.

The traffic on starboard tends to be more dispursed, but does also exist.
