RoyalOakGirl Posted January 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2010 I was wondering how accessible Magens Bay is for people who use canes/walkers? After being dropped off, are there any steps or hills that one who uses a cane/walker would have to worry about? Thanks.
Langley Cruisers Posted January 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2010 My opinion is that it is very accessible to both walkers and cane users. After you exit the taxi (presumably your mode of transportation) you can walk safely to the beach area. There is a gentle (very gentle) slope down to the water. Here's a good shot we took that shows what the grade is from where you will be in the parking lot; as you can see, nothing to be concerned about (IMO). <--- click to enlarge It's lovely there. Enjoy your day. :)
RoyalOakGirl Posted January 12, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Thank you very much for the picture. I totally agree that the terrain looks pretty flat and accessible.
