Food & Drink?

Do we need to worry about eating in Costa Maya? I've never been to Mexico at all and have always heard that you shouldn't drink the water.....what if I want a drink/cocktail? The ice? Hmmmmmm? And the food? Do I need to worry?

We have been to many Mexican ports and eaten food and drank cocktails. In the tourist areas there are no problems in restaurants. I wouldn't eat from street vendors but restaurants are fine. We drink bottled water instead of tap water in a restaurant though....They use purified water for ice.
