Parking at Port of Miami

I plan on driving down, along with another group. We were wondering if it is difficult to find parking there, or should we allow extra time to get there and then time to get to the ship.

 

Oh yes, and we are parking down there close to the pier, where ever that is. I know I've read about it, $20 a day I believe. I'm assuming it's fairly safe also?

There is an area on Cruise Critic called North America Homeports. Under that are East Coast departures, and under that Florida departures. Lots of info there about Florida ports and parking. EM
