we have got a 5.30 flight out of orlando and was wondering if you use the valet service for you luggage do you have to go to the airport at the same time or could you spend the day where you want to, then make your own way to the airport later.

The whole point of using the Cruise/ Air Valet Service is so that you do not have to deal with your luggage once you have placed the airline tags on it and placed in the hallway the last night of the cruise. You and you luggage won't be together again until you collect it at your final airport destination. Just walk off the ship with your carryon's and enjoy your day in Orlando.

If you use valet luggage, you will have the day to tour around town "hands free". That's what we did in November in San Juan. Luggage will be at your final destination when you arrive there. (That is if they don't lose it). We use the program when we cruise and it's worth the extra $20. You do have to sign up for it onboard and pay the airline luggage fees as well. Boarding passes and luggage tags will be delivered to your cabin. You do have to pick up your luggage in the holding area after embarking the ship and take it through customs, then you're good to go with no luggage in tow.
