It May not be A appropriate question for this forum but I will ask anyway ;)

 

My better half and myself Have been trying to find out about moving to Grand Cayman.Its our favorite place . We are in our 30s Im a bartender , are jobs very hard to get .Homes dont really seem too expensive the ones that we saw at least.Is there any info or advise you could give me on where to look what to do .What are the taxes and things like there.Anything you can give me id really appreciate it Thanks Mike

I'm pretty sure you've got to have an employer lined up in advance in order to get a work permit. Even then, I think the permit is only good for that employer and for up to 7 years.

 

As for the other stuff about living in Cayman, a really good website is:

That website also has info about work permits and such.

 

You will find that the cost of living in Cayman is higher than you might think. We have a house there, and utility rates, etc. are higher than at home. Groceries are close to double the cost in most cases, especially for heavier items like cases of soda and water.

 

The benefits? Great weather. Wonderful people. Awesome beaches. Very clean and safe. No taxes. (What else could you ask for?)

 

It's our favourite place in the world...it's just not cheap. :D
