VIP Boarding tags

My good friend has four extra tags from her last cruise and wants to give them to me. They are blue with a 1 on them. If I put them on my luggage instead of my own will it work?

I could be wrong, but those sound like debark tags to me.

 

The embark tags would say something like Forward, Aft and the cabin deck.

Those are for debarking only. The luggage tags now days are printed with your cabin, sail date, etc. They wouldn't help you getting on, but you'd be able to use them to be the first group off.

Actually--if you want number one tags to get off the ship with--present your flight itinerary to the pursers desk and that will get you a very low number.
