We stayed at the Embassy Suites, Downtown Convention Center, which is very close to the pier in Tampa. We loved it, but we're a bit partial to Embassy Suites... all suites, free 2 hour cocktail hour, free hot breakfast, etc. This one was in a great location, too. Trolley right outside to take you to Channelside, or Ybor City, etc. There is no shuttle from airport or to the port or anything if you're interested in that.

Inspiration is a beautiful ship. We were almost convinced to sail on her and then saw Mach's reviews and booked her right away. You will have a great time.

 

I think the Marriott Waterside and the Embassy Suites Downtown Convention Center are close by the pier.

We stayed at the Sailport and it was a nice hotel that was reasonably priced. I have a review with pics in my signature.

We stayed at Chase suites in July - can arrange hotel ride to take you to/from port for $20.00 - beautiful suites - would stay there again!

I have nothing to add regarding a hotel - but you will LOVE the Inspiration! This was our first ship/first cruise and second cruise and she holds a special place in our hearts! I can't wait to sail on her again since her upgrades last year!
