Weather Advice for Voyager Far East 2011

Port 11

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of booking the Voyager on March 20th 2011 which goes to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand. I was wondering if anyone has done this itinerary or similar and what the weather would be like during March (Vietnam onwards would be early April)

Thanks

Beijing can be very chilly at that time of year - take a wind jacket that you can layer under it and gloves. There were a couple of days that I didn't want to go out on deck because of the very cold wind. Shanghai will be springlike and Hong Kong should be pleasant but might require a light jacket or sweater. All of the above can be unpredictable like our spring weather and be warmer or colder. Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand are HOT at any time. It's a nice time for blossoms in late March and early April.
