Looking for a Hotel in Tampa

We are looking for a good hotel in Tampa the night before our cruise. Someplace with grocery store and a restaurant within walking distance. Free shuttles from airport and to pier day of cruise. Any info would be great. Thanks.

There's lots of good info on the East Coast Departures, Florida, section here on CC. We stayed at the Embassy Suites Downtown Tampa, close to the pier. No free shuttle, but free cocktail hour(s), hot breakfast, and very nice place. Store & Channelside (restaurants, shops) within walking distance, or can take the Trolley right outside the hotel to Channelside, Ybor City, etc.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Rocky Point. Free shuttle to and from airport to hotel, free shuttle to and from the port, parking for the week for $10pp, nice Continental breakfast, hot included and 24 hour coffee and tea. Very nice, clean hotel with great staff !!!!

We stayed at the Sheraton last may. Was clean, nice, great location and free shuttle to nightspots and cruise terminal.

We just did the Hampton Inn in Ybor City in Jan. Wonderful hotel!

There are plenty of hotel choices...depends on your budget and where you want to stay. Downtown, I would check out the Marriott Waterside or Embassy Suites on the higher price end or Courtyard or Residence Inn in the more affordable category. The Holiday Inn Rocky Point is a decent option out near the airport.
